Many of you may already know that Rose Watson Culver has copied and has published many old PS duPont HS yearbooks on her Reunion site which is accessible via a site linked to OldWilmington.net She has also done the same with yearbooks from WHS, Brown Vocational and EP Warner Junior High. Looking for an old friend. He went to Bayard Junior High from 1960 to 1963. Then went to Browns Vocational High School and graduated in 1966.
His name is Paul Klenk, he would be 62 now I think.

Message: I think that we're getting confused. For example, the postings about Little Flower probably belonged on this page, but we all responded where we found the original message. At any rate, I checked with my sister and she says that she had Sr. Vitalene (sp?) in first grade and that the 3d and 4th grade teacher was Sr. Loyola. Sr. Loyola was the one that I could not remember. I guess that Sr. St. Charles succeeded Sr. Vitalene. This would be 1951-57 approximately.

Message: Kate : thinking more about your quest for St. Hedwig's yearbooks - I don't think St. Hedwig's grade school had yearbooks, at least not before 1962. I don't recall my two older brothers having one. The basement stored yearbooks may be from St. Hedwig's (girls' )High School.

Message: Lehman's was great back in the day. Today, it's Rita's for me. In the 50's there was a man who used to sell snowballs(crushed ice and flavored syrup) from his cart on the S.W. corner of 2nd and Chestnut Sts. in Old New Castle. Probably did well from those going on and returning from the ferry boat between New Castle and Riverview.

Message: Does anyone have any St. Hedwig's yearbooks from between the years of 1933 and 1978, or could tell me where to find them? I'm looking for pictures of relatives who went there who I've never met and who are unfortunately deceased (long story). St. Hedwig's School is sadly no more, so I've contacted the church, but they've told me that all the yearbooks are stored in the basement in an unorganized fashion and basically, they're not willing to drag them up. I'd appreciate any help you can offer.

Message: I stopped at Rita's yesterday and had a frozen custard. Growing up in Wilmington, I used to get frozen custard on Governer Printz Blvd at Lehman's. As I recall it was pretty good.
