In the early 1940s, Borden's bought the Sharpless Ice Cream Company. In 1936, a fire on the 3rd floor caused ten-thousand dollars damage.
In 1960, Bordens announced plans for a two-story addition. In 1970, Bordens left the location and for the next seven years, the building sat vacant and was vandalized.
A self storage business then occupied the location and recently, it was converted into an apartment complex.
